Kentuckiana Hoops

Kentuckiana Hoops

Last year, two of my high school basketball teammates who were incredibly passionate about the sport decided to start a social media presence dedicated to keeping the public informed on basketball happenings in the states of Kentucky and Indiana. They do a great job supplying their following (5,328 people on Twitter) with relevant, up-to-date information regarding high school hoops. They knew I was majoring in graphic design so they reached out asking if I could create a logo and some other assets for their social media. Kentuckiana Hoops is based in our hometown of Louisville, KY, so I chose to combine a basketball with Louisville skyline. It took many attempts and a lot of trial and error, but I eventually settled on the version I currently have.

Alternates

I also created these alternates for the brand, just so they would have some diversity in image for their different uses of the logo.

Podcast

The founders of Kentuckiana Hoops also progressed to the point where they even hosted their own podcast. They interviewed several players, coaches, and high school basketball experts on a variety of basketball topics and on the current state of hoop in the bluegrass state. They also expanded to cover AAU Basketball through the entire midwest.
